Privacy policy

We collect the details you give us and the data needed to deliver your messages:

• Contact and account details — name, business email, mobile number, company name — submitted through our signup or contact forms.
• Campaign data — sender IDs, DLT template and entity identifiers, and the recipient lists and message content you route through us for delivery.
• Technical data — basic request and delivery logs (timestamps, delivery status, error codes) generated when messages are sent.

We use your information to provide the service and meet our regulatory obligations: to provision your account with our telecom partner, register DLT entities and sender headers on your behalf, transmit your messages, return delivery reports, provide support, and raise billing through the partner dashboard.

Indian messaging is regulated. To send compliant traffic we retain the records the regulator requires — registered entity and template identifiers, sender headers, and evidence of recipient consent — for as long as the law requires us to keep them.

Messages are carried to their destination by licensed telecom operators and DLT platforms we connect to — including Tata Teleservices, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL. Delivery necessarily involves passing message data to these operators; they process it under their own obligations as licensed carriers.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information or your recipient lists. We disclose data only where it is necessary to deliver your messages, where you have asked us to, or where we are required to by law or a lawful request from a regulator or authority.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data in our care against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our site and dashboard may link to services we do not control, including the telecom-partner dashboard. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties; their policies govern the data you share with them.

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or opt out of non-essential communication by emailing support@smsapi.in. Recipients of messages can opt out through the mechanisms required by TRAI, and we honour those opt-outs.

We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on this site. If we add website analytics, we will update this policy and name the tools used before switching them on.

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated; material changes will be reflected here.
